Since the Foundation’s establishment in 1998, more than $1.5 million has been spent on improvements to the Missouri State Fairgrounds, including:
- Installed 8 Big Ass Fans on west side of Swine Barn
- Added a Livestock Wash Barn at the Taylor Woods Youth Building
- Installed 428 new pens in the Sheep Barn
- Upgraded all of the electrical drops in the Sheep Barn
- With like-minded partners, constructed the MFA Youth Livestock Arena
- Constructed the FFA Building, State Fair Museum, and Kids’ Zone Stage
- Funded renovations to the Home Economics Building
- Upgraded electrical service in the campgrounds
- Installed 4 “Big Ass Fans”: one in the Swine Barn, one in the Sheep Pavilion, and 2 in the Historic Coliseum
- Added a new wash rack at the Sheep Pavilion
- Installed more than 80 permanent benches on the fairgrounds
- Purchased new canvas awnings to cover bleacher seating at State Fair Arena
- Poured concrete in front of the horse barns, Donnelly Arena, and the Midway to improve safety and accessibility; and help with water drainage
- Replaced guttering across the Fairgrounds
- Provided many new signs across the Fairgrounds including the new sign on the Taylor Woods Youth Center
- Purchased new sound system in the Lowell Mohler Assembly Hall
- Funded asphalt improvements to all major roads on the fairgrounds
- Upgraded lighting in cattle and horse barns
- Facilitated removal of sand from cattle barns replaced with quality mulch
- Established and dedicated Legacy Giving Plaza
